Before you begin

Start with the recommended baseline, change one value at a time, and test each adjustment under consistent conditions.

If you're choosing between DS2 Version Z and Destiny Pro V1.2, the biggest difference is how each script is designed to be configured.

DS2 Version Z is a relatively direct multi-mod script built around controller shortcuts, manually adjustable anti-recoil and gameplay utilities.

Destiny Pro V1.2 is a much more structured weapon-profile script with Primary, Secondary and Heavy profiles, an OLED configuration system and a large library of pre-configured weapon entries.

DS2 Version Z: The Simpler Multi-Mod Option

DS2 Version Z is built around general Destiny 2 controller utilities rather than a large weapon-selection system.

The current GPC contains functionality for:

  • ADS sensitivity reduction
  • Auto Sprint
  • Slide Strafe
  • Crouch Spam
  • Rapid Melee
  • Easy Fire
  • Auto Reload
  • L2 Aim Assist
  • R2 Aim Assist
  • Rapid Fire
  • Vertical anti-recoil
  • Horizontal anti-recoil
  • Rumble feedback

The biggest advantage is that many features are operated through controller shortcuts rather than a deep OLED menu.

DS2 Manual Anti-Recoil

DS2 Version Z gives you separate vertical and horizontal recoil correction.

The current script allows the recoil values to be changed directly using controller inputs.

Vertical anti-recoil adjustment is entered through one shortcut, while horizontal adjustment uses another. Once an adjustment mode is active, the shoulder buttons are used to raise or lower the value.

The script provides vibration feedback when a recoil value is changed.

No Named Weapon Profiles in DS2

DS2 Version Z does not contain the same kind of named Destiny 2 weapon database found in Destiny Pro V1.2.

Instead, you configure a general recoil value around your current setup.

This makes DS2 easier to understand, but it also means switching weapons does not automatically give you a separately stored weapon-specific configuration.

DS2 Aim Options

The current GPC includes separate aim-related modes for aiming and firing inputs.

These use programmed controller-stick movements rather than screen recognition or actual visual target detection.

The script allows the two systems to be enabled separately, giving you a choice over when the programmed aim movement runs.

DS2 ADS Sensitivity Reduction

Another distinctive feature is the script's built-in ADS sensitivity adjustment.

While aiming, DS2 can reduce right-stick sensitivity using a value configured directly in the GPC.

This is a source-level configuration rather than the kind of large on-device value menu found in Destiny Pro.

DS2 Slide Strafe

DS2 also contains a Slide Strafe system.

The GPC uses movement and crouch-related inputs to run its programmed slide sequence and includes separate slide-delay values in the source.

This makes DS2 more movement-focused than Destiny Pro in certain areas.

Crouch Spam and Rapid Melee

Additional DS2 movement and action mods include:

  • Crouch Spam
  • Rapid Melee

Both can be toggled using controller shortcuts in the current script.

Rapid Melee repeatedly triggers the programmed melee input after its configured hold time.

Easy Fire

DS2 includes a feature called Easy Fire.

When enabled, the script links its aiming behaviour with firing/aiming inputs according to the programmed controller logic.

This is another general gameplay utility rather than a weapon-specific profile feature.

Auto Reload

The DS2 Auto Reload option can trigger a reload input after firing according to the script's programmed sequence.

Like many other DS2 features, it can be toggled with a controller shortcut.

Rapid Fire in DS2

The GPC contains a Rapid Fire system with an adjustable rate-of-fire variable.

One important difference from Destiny Pro is how this is configured.

The current DS2 source initializes Rapid Fire as disabled and does not provide the same on-device weapon-aware menu system found in Destiny Pro. It is therefore a more source/configuration-oriented feature.

Who Should Choose DS2 Version Z?

Choose DS2 Version Z if you want:

  • A simpler multi-mod script
  • Manual anti-recoil adjustment
  • Separate vertical and horizontal recoil values
  • Movement tools such as Slide Strafe
  • Crouch Spam and Rapid Melee
  • Auto Reload
  • Controller shortcut-based toggles
  • Less emphasis on large weapon databases

Destiny Pro V1.2: The Weapon Profile Option

Destiny Pro V1.2 is considerably more advanced from a configuration standpoint.

The script is built around three weapon profiles:

  • Primary
  • Secondary
  • Heavy

Each profile can use its own weapon category, weapon name, recoil settings and selected mods.

Ten Weapon Categories

The current Destiny Pro V1.2 GPC includes 10 weapon categories:

  • Auto Rifle
  • Pulse Rifle
  • Fusion Rifle
  • Linear Rifle
  • SMG
  • Hand Cannon
  • Scout Rifle
  • Sidearm
  • Shotgun
  • Heavy

These categories contain pre-configured weapon entries as well as Custom slots for weapons that are not already listed.

Examples of Destiny Pro Weapon Profiles

The current GPC contains named entries such as:

  • Chroma Rush
  • Duty Bound
  • Krait
  • Gnawing Hunger
  • Suros Regime
  • Monte Carlo
  • Smite of Merain
  • Messenger
  • BXR Battler
  • Outbreak
  • No Time
  • Riptide
  • Vex Mythoclast
  • Arbalest
  • Lorenz Driver
  • Osteo Striga
  • Huckleberry
  • Funnelweb
  • Eyasluna
  • Austringer
  • Last Word
  • Crimson
  • Hung Jury
  • DMT
  • Rat King
  • Drang
  • Chaperone
  • Felwinter's Lie
  • Thunderlord
  • Xenophage
  • Stormchaser

The GPC also includes numerous Custom weapon slots so you can build configurations outside the pre-registered list.

Weapon-Specific Recoil Data

This is the biggest technical difference between the scripts.

Destiny Pro stores recoil information alongside individual weapon entries.

Depending on the category, a weapon can include values for:

  • Initial vertical correction
  • Ending vertical correction
  • Recoil transition time
  • Horizontal correction
  • Rate of fire where relevant

Your own profile adjustments are then applied on top of the stored weapon values.

Three Anti-Recoil Modes

Destiny Pro V1.2 supports three anti-recoil approaches:

  • Progressive Anti-Recoil
  • Standard Anti-Recoil
  • Rumble Anti-Recoil

Standard applies a more conventional configured correction.

Progressive can move between starting and ending recoil values over a configured period.

Rumble uses vibration information as part of the programmed recoil logic.

This is considerably more flexible than DS2's single manually adjusted recoil system.

Rapid Fire and Burst Fire

Destiny Pro uses the selected weapon category to decide which firing options make sense to expose.

The script contains both:

  • Rapid Fire
  • Burst Fire

It can switch the available option depending on whether the selected weapon category is treated as full-auto or semi-automatic within the script.

Rate-of-fire data is also stored for several weapon categories.

Polar Assist

Destiny Pro includes an aim-related feature called Polar Assist.

Its menu exposes editable Radius and Steps values, allowing the programmed stick movement to be adjusted.

As with other Cronus Zen aim-related systems, this is controller-input logic rather than the script seeing or identifying targets on screen.

Strafe Mod

The current Destiny Pro GPC contains several Strafe options:

  • OFF
  • Strafe Shot
  • Cut Strafe
  • Cut Strafe Cam

This provides more structured strafe configuration than DS2's single Slide Strafe-focused system.

Dynamic Sensitivity

Destiny Pro includes DynaSens, or Dynamic Sensitivity.

The OLED menu provides multiple adjustable values related to:

  • Initial sensitivity
  • Stick threshold
  • Restart point
  • Maximum sensitivity
  • Increase rate

This gives it a much deeper sensitivity system than DS2's fixed source-level ADS reduction.

Reload Switch

Destiny Pro uses a configurable reload-switch feature with an editable reload timing.

This gives the script another adjustable weapon-related utility rather than relying on one fixed reload sequence.

Other Destiny Pro Mods

The current OLED mod menu also contains:

  • AutoRun
  • Swap Triggers/Bumpers
  • Auto ADS
  • Rumble configuration
  • PS5 Controller option

The script also contains a KillSwitch that can temporarily mute its scripted behaviour.

Destiny Pro OLED Menu

Destiny Pro V1.2 is designed to be configured directly through the Cronus Zen OLED screen.

The menu provides separate areas for:

  • Mods
  • Editable values
  • Weapon category
  • Weapon name
  • Profiles

This is one of its biggest advantages over DS2 Version Z if you prefer making changes without reopening the GPC source.

Primary, Secondary and Heavy Switching

Destiny Pro lets you move between its weapon profiles while playing.

Primary and Secondary configurations can be switched through the profile controls, while the Heavy profile has its own behaviour.

This means you can keep different recoil and firing configurations ready for multiple weapon slots.

Which Is Easier to Configure?

DS2 Version Z is easier if you want fewer layers.

Many of its main features are simple controller toggles, and recoil is adjusted directly rather than selected from a large weapon database.

Destiny Pro V1.2 is easier if you regularly switch weapons.

The initial setup is more complex, but once your weapon profiles are saved, moving between Primary, Secondary and Heavy configurations is much more organized.

Which Is Better for Anti-Recoil?

For basic manual recoil adjustment, DS2 is straightforward.

For weapon-specific recoil configuration, Destiny Pro V1.2 is clearly the more advanced option.

It combines named weapon data, profile-specific adjustments and three selectable recoil methods.

Which Is Better for General Gameplay Mods?

DS2 Version Z makes more sense if features such as Slide Strafe, Crouch Spam, Rapid Melee, Easy Fire and Auto Reload are your main priority.

Destiny Pro still has general utilities, but its architecture revolves much more heavily around weapons and profiles.

Which Script Fits You?

Choose DS2 Version Z if:

  • You want a simpler multi-mod setup.
  • You prefer controller shortcuts over a large OLED menu.
  • You want Slide Strafe, Crouch Spam or Rapid Melee.
  • You want manually adjustable vertical and horizontal recoil.
  • You do not need named weapon profiles.

Choose Destiny Pro V1.2 if:

  • You want Primary, Secondary and Heavy profiles.
  • You regularly change weapons.
  • You want a large named weapon database.
  • You want custom weapon slots.
  • You want Progressive, Standard and Rumble Anti-Recoil.
  • You want Rapid Fire and Burst Fire configuration.
  • You want OLED-based editing.
  • You want deeper sensitivity and strafe configuration.

Our Verdict

These scripts are aimed at two different types of Destiny 2 setup.

DS2 Version Z is the better fit for simplicity and general multi-mod functionality. Its main appeal is a collection of controller shortcuts, movement tools, manual recoil adjustment and action-related mods.

Destiny Pro V1.2 is the better fit for weapon-focused customization. Its three-profile structure, OLED menu, named weapon library and advanced recoil options make it substantially deeper.
