Start with the recommended baseline, change one value at a time, and test each adjustment under consistent conditions.
If you are setting up YEW2K for NBA 2K27, the best place to begin is with the values already built into the script.
We checked the current YEW2K GPC and found its main shooting baseline. These are useful recommended starting values before you begin fine-tuning around your own jump shot.
Best YEW2K Starting Values
| YEW2K Setting | Recommended Starting Value |
|---|---|
| AI Button Tempo | ON |
| Tempo | 43 ms |
| Auto-Green | ON |
| Auto-Green Timing | 630 ms |
| Auto-Green Tempo | 63 ms |
| Turbo Fades | OFF to start |
| Auto-Green Turbo | 773 ms |
| Auto-Green No-Dip | ON |
| AI Defense | ON |
| Quick-Stop | ON |
| Infinite Stamina | Instant |
| Dribble Assignments | OFF until configured |
| Haptic Shots | OFF to start |
| Haptic Timing | 350 ms script baseline |
Important: these are starting values taken from the current YEW2K script. They are not guaranteed to be perfect for every jump shot, build, connection or shooting setup.
Recommended YEW2K Tempo: 43 ms
The current script starts its Tempo setting at 43 ms.
This is the recommended value to test first before making changes. YEW2K allows Tempo to be adjusted directly through its OLED menu, so you can make small corrections without editing the GPC source.
Start at 43 ms and take several repeatable shots before deciding whether it needs adjustment.
Recommended Auto-Green Timing: 630 ms
The main Auto-Green Timing value starts at 630 ms.
This is one of the most important YEW2K settings because it controls the timing used by the standard Auto-Green shooting path.
Use 630 ms as your initial baseline and test it with the jump shot you actually intend to use.
If your timing feedback consistently suggests that your release needs adjustment, change the value gradually rather than making a large jump.
How to Fine-Tune the 630 ms Value
A simple tuning process is:
- Start at 630 ms.
- Use the same jump shot.
- Take several uncontested attempts.
- Look for a consistent early or late pattern.
- Make a small timing adjustment.
- Repeat the same test.
- Keep the new value only if consistency improves.
For more detail, read our guide to adjusting NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen shot timing.
Recommended Auto-Green Tempo: 63 ms
YEW2K's built-in Auto-Green Tempo value is 63 ms.
This is separate from the main 630 ms Auto-Green Timing value, so do not treat the two settings as interchangeable.
Start with:
- Auto-Green Timing: 630 ms
- Auto-Green Tempo: 63 ms
Test the combination before adjusting either value.
Recommended Auto-Green Turbo: 773 ms
The current YEW2K script uses 773 ms as its starting Auto-Green Turbo timing.
This timing is used by the script's moving or turbo-related Auto-Green shooting path rather than the standard stationary value.
That is why you should tune 630 ms and 773 ms separately.
If regular shots feel correct but moving or turbo shots do not, adjust Auto-Green Turbo rather than changing your main Auto-Green Timing.
Should Turbo Fades Be On?
The current YEW2K baseline starts Turbo Fades OFF.
That is a sensible starting point because it lets you calibrate the main shooting system before introducing another fade-specific behaviour.
Once your standard Auto-Green and Turbo timing are stable, enable Turbo Fades if you want to use that feature and test it separately.
Auto-Green No-Dip: Start ON
The script initializes Auto-Green No-Dip as enabled.
No-Dip uses its own shooting behaviour, so do not assume the standard 630 ms Auto-Green value controls every No-Dip action in exactly the same way.
If No-Dip shots behave differently from your normal attempts, test that shooting mode separately before changing your main timing.
AI Button Tempo: Start ON
AI Button Tempo is enabled in YEW2K's starting configuration.
The script combines Button Tempo with its adjustable Tempo value, so the 43 ms baseline is the best place to begin when testing this part of the script.
If you are comparing Tempo shooting with Auto Green, see our NBA 2K27 Auto Green vs Tempo Shooting guide.
Best YEW2K Shooting Baseline
For the simplest initial shooting test, use:
- AI Button Tempo: ON
- Tempo: 43 ms
- Auto-Green: ON
- Auto-Green Timing: 630 ms
- Auto-Green Tempo: 63 ms
- Turbo Fades: OFF
- Auto-Green Turbo: 773 ms
- Auto-Green No-Dip: ON
Keep everything else unchanged while you test this baseline.
YEW2K Has Three Build Slots
YEW2K provides three selectable build slots, allowing you to save separate configurations.
The current script initializes the three builds around the same shooting baseline, but you can later use them for different setups.
For example:
- Build 1: Main jump shot
- Build 2: Secondary player or jump shot
- Build 3: Experimental timing values
This is useful because you can test new values without immediately replacing the configuration you already like.
Best AI Defense Setting
YEW2K starts AI Defense ON.
If you want the complete YEW2K feature set active, leave this enabled while configuring the script.
If you are only testing shooting values, you can focus on the shooting pages first and configure the additional gameplay features later.
Best Quick-Stop Setting
Quick-Stop starts ON in the current YEW2K configuration.
Because Quick-Stop affects movement before a shooting action, make sure your testing process stays consistent. Do not repeatedly turn Quick-Stop on and off while also changing shot timing values.
Infinite Stamina Starting Mode
YEW2K includes three Infinite Stamina modes:
- Off
- Instant
- Gradual
The script-derived starting configuration uses Instant.
You can change this later based on your preferred setup, but there is no need to change it while initially calibrating Auto-Green timing.
Dribble Settings: Configure Them After Shooting
YEW2K includes four directional dribble assignments and selectable moves including:
- BTB Spam
- Curry
- DBook
- B Break
- Escape
- Momentum
The build baseline leaves the directional assignments unconfigured, which is a good starting point while you focus on shooting.
Once your shot timing is stable, assign your preferred moves to the directional slots.
Haptic Shots: Start OFF
The script starts Haptic Shots OFF, while its internal Haptic timing baseline is 350 ms.
If you want to experiment with Haptic Shots, enable them only after your main Auto-Green and Tempo settings are working consistently.
This prevents haptic feedback from becoming another variable during the first round of timing tests.
Right-Stick Shooting
YEW2K also supports right-stick shooting.
If you plan to use it, configure your main shooting values first, then test right-stick shooting separately. Avoid changing Auto-Green Timing, Tempo and input method simultaneously.
How to Find Your Best YEW2K Values
Use this order:
- Select Build 1.
- Set Tempo to 43 ms.
- Set Auto-Green Timing to 630 ms.
- Set Auto-Green Tempo to 63 ms.
- Set Auto-Green Turbo to 773 ms.
- Keep Turbo Fades off initially.
- Keep AI Button Tempo and Auto-Green enabled.
- Use the same jump shot for every test.
- Test standard shots first.
- Adjust only one value at a time.
- Test turbo and moving shots separately.
- Save successful values before experimenting further.
Don't Copy Values Without Testing Them
The YEW2K numbers above come directly from the current script and are the strongest starting point for a fresh setup.
They should still be treated as baseline values, not guaranteed universal values.
Different jump shots and shooting situations can require additional tuning, so use repeated testing rather than judging a value from one attempt.
Does the Jump Shot Meter Matter?
Your meter does not rewrite the values stored in YEW2K, but it can affect how you visually judge your timing while testing.
Keep the same meter configuration while comparing timing values so you are not changing multiple variables at once.
Final Recommended YEW2K Values
| Main Setting | Starting Value |
|---|---|
| Tempo | 43 ms |
| Auto-Green Timing | 630 ms |
| Auto-Green Tempo | 63 ms |
| Auto-Green Turbo | 773 ms |
| AI Button Tempo | ON |
| Auto-Green | ON |
| Turbo Fades | OFF initially |
| Auto-Green No-Dip | ON |
| Haptic Shots | OFF initially |
Start with these values, get your normal shot consistent first, and then fine-tune Turbo, No-Dip and other shooting modes individually.
