Best Deadeye V2 Values for Apex Legends Cronus Zen
Before you begin

Start with the recommended baseline, change one value at a time, and test each adjustment under consistent conditions.

If you're setting up Deadeye V2 for Apex Legends, the number of adjustable aim and controller settings can make it difficult to know where to start.

We analyzed the current Deadeye V2 GPC and built the following configuration around the values already used by the script.

These are recommended starting values, not guaranteed perfect settings for every controller or Apex Legends setup. Sensitivity, response curve, deadzone, platform and personal preference can all change how the same script values feel.

Recommended Deadeye V2 Values

Setting Recommended Value
Aim Assist On
Aim Assist Size 3
Aim Assist Speed 14
Boost On Fire Off
Boost Size 0
Boost Speed 0
Strafe Assist Off to start
Strafe Aim Size 65
Strafe Aim Speed 7 PlayStation / 4 Xbox
Strafe Fire Size 65
Strafe Fire Speed 7 PlayStation / 4 Xbox

Best Starting Aim Assist Setup

For the cleanest Deadeye V2 starting configuration, use:

  • Aim Assist: On
  • Aim Assist Size: 3
  • Aim Assist Speed: 14
  • Boost On Fire: Off
  • Boost Size: 0
  • Boost Speed: 0

This keeps the main Deadeye aim system relatively controlled before adding additional movement from Boost or Strafe Assist.

Aim Assist Size: 3

Aim Assist Size controls the size of Deadeye V2's programmed aim movement.

The current GPC uses a starting value of 3, which is intentionally small compared with the full 1–100 adjustment range.

That makes 3 a sensible baseline before experimenting with stronger values.

If you increase Size too aggressively, the programmed stick movement can become more noticeable and may feel less controlled.

Aim Assist Speed: 14

For Aim Assist Speed, start at 14.

Speed controls how quickly the programmed aim movement progresses.

Size and Speed work together, so avoid changing both at the same time when testing.

A useful method is:

  1. Leave Size at 3.
  2. Test Speed 14.
  3. Adjust Speed slightly if necessary.
  4. Only then experiment with Size.

Should Boost On Fire Be Enabled?

For the initial setup, we recommend leaving Boost On Fire off.

The current GPC exposes Boost as a separate layer with:

  • Boost On Fire
  • Boost Size
  • Boost Speed

Starting with Boost disabled makes it easier to judge the main Aim Assist Size and Speed settings by themselves.

Recommended Boost Values

Boost Setting Starting Value
Boost On Fire Off
Boost Size 0
Boost Speed 0

If you later experiment with Boost, increase only one value at a time rather than jumping immediately to large settings.

What Is Strafe Assist?

Deadeye V2 contains a second programmed aim system called Strafe Assist.

Its activation menu contains several choices:

  • Off
  • ADS Only
  • Fire Only
  • ADS or Fire
  • ADS and Fire
  • ADS & Fire / Fire
  • ADS & Fire / ADS

This lets you control when the additional programmed strafe-related stick movement becomes active.

Recommended Strafe Assist Setup

For your first Deadeye V2 setup, leave Strafe Assist off.

The reason is simple: you should first test the main Aim Assist system without another movement layer running at the same time.

The current GPC's useful baseline values for the Strafe system are:

Setting Value
Strafe Aim Size 65
Strafe Aim Speed 7 on PlayStation / 4 on Xbox
Strafe Fire Size 65
Strafe Fire Speed 7 on PlayStation / 4 on Xbox

If you enable Strafe Assist later, keep these values as your starting point before fine-tuning.

Why Are the PlayStation and Xbox Strafe Speeds Different?

The current Deadeye V2 GPC initializes the Strafe Speed values differently depending on the detected controller platform.

It uses:

  • PlayStation-style controller: 7
  • Xbox-style controller: 4

For that reason, we recommend keeping the platform-specific value the script already expects instead of forcing both controller types to use the same number.

Recommended Controller Settings

Deadeye V2 also contains a Controller section that should reflect your Apex Legends configuration.

The current script's baseline is:

Controller Setting Recommended Starting Point
Button Layout Match your in-game layout
Stick Layout Match your in-game layout
Look Sensitivity 4
ADS Sensitivity 3
ALC Per Optic Off unless you actually use it
Crouch Button Match your Apex configuration
Trigger Deadzones None to start
Response Curve Classic baseline
Deadzone Right 4
Inverted Off unless you play inverted

4-3 Classic Is the Cleanest Baseline

The current Deadeye V2 GPC is initialized around:

  • Look Sensitivity: 4
  • ADS Sensitivity: 3
  • Response Curve: Classic
  • Right Deadzone: 4

This gives you a useful starting configuration if you have not already built Deadeye around another sensitivity setup.

However, if you already use another Apex sensitivity, do not blindly change your comfortable in-game settings just to match these numbers.

Instead, make sure the script's relevant configuration matches the Apex setup you actually use.

What If You Use Linear?

Deadeye V2 supports both:

  • Classic
  • Linear

If you normally play Linear, select Linear in the script instead of leaving Deadeye configured for Classic.

Aim-related controller movement can feel significantly different between response curves, so values tuned around Classic should not automatically be assumed to feel identical on Linear.

ALC Per Optic

The script also contains an ALC Per Optic option.

Leave it off unless your actual Apex configuration uses the corresponding per-optic system.

Deadeye V2 contains optic options including:

  • 1x
  • 2x
  • 3x
  • 4x

If you use scope-specific sensitivity configuration, make sure Deadeye reflects your actual setup rather than enabling Per Optic unnecessarily.

Trigger Deadzones

The Trigger Deadzones menu provides levels including:

  • None
  • Default
  • Moderate
  • High
  • Max

For the recommended baseline, start at None unless your controller or Apex setup requires another trigger configuration.

Deadzone Right: Start at 4

The GPC initializes Deadzone Right at 4.

This value matters because Deadeye's aim systems create relatively small right-stick movements.

If your script-side deadzone assumptions and in-game Apex deadzone configuration are badly mismatched, small programmed movement can behave differently from expected.

Recommended Options Settings

Deadeye V2 includes several additional gameplay options:

Option Recommended Starting Value
Auto Ping Off
Bunny Hop Off
Crouch Shot Off
Hip Sensitivity 100
Super Jump Off
Unholster on ADS Off

Start with these optional mods disabled so you can judge the core aim configuration without unrelated controller automation running at the same time.

Hip Sensitivity: 100

The current GPC uses 100 as its baseline Hip Sensitivity value.

This means there is no reason to reduce it immediately unless you specifically want Deadeye to modify that part of the controller output.

Recommended Script Settings

Setting Recommended Starting Point
Block Vibration Off
Custom Menu Buttons Off
Device VM Speed Automatic

In particular, we recommend leaving Device VM Speed on Automatic rather than changing script execution timing before the rest of the setup has been tested.

Deadeye V2 Weapon Profiles

Deadeye V2 is not only an aim-values script.

The GPC also contains weapon configuration for:

  • Primary
  • Secondary

and categories including:

  • AR
  • SMG
  • LMG
  • Other

Named Weapons in Deadeye V2

The current GPC includes profiles for Apex weapons such as:

  • Flatline
  • Havoc
  • Hemlok Auto
  • Hemlok Burst
  • Nemesis
  • Nemesis Charge
  • R-301
  • Alternator
  • C.A.R.
  • Prowler Auto
  • Prowler Burst
  • R-99
  • Volt
  • Devotion
  • L-Star
  • Rampage
  • Spitfire
  • Bocek
  • EVA-8
  • Mastiff
  • Mozambique
  • Peacekeeper
  • P2020
  • RE-45
  • TripleTake
  • Wingman
  • Marksman/Sniper profile

Some supported weapons also contain alternate firing states, such as charged or burst configurations.

Barrel and Scope Settings Matter

Deadeye V2 also contains selectable attachment information.

Barrel choices include:

  • None
  • White
  • Blue
  • Purple

Scope choices include:

  • 1x
  • 2x
  • 3x
  • 4x

If you are using Deadeye's weapon configuration, keep the selected weapon and relevant attachment settings aligned with your actual loadout.

Don't Tune Aim Values With the Wrong Weapon Profile

If the weapon configuration is wrong, you can end up trying to fix the result by changing Aim Assist Size or Speed even though the aim values were not the real problem.

Before adjusting anything, confirm:

  1. The correct Primary or Secondary slot is active.
  2. The correct weapon is selected.
  3. The correct firing mode is selected where applicable.
  4. The barrel configuration matches.
  5. The scope configuration matches.
  6. Your controller settings match Apex Legends.

Balanced Deadeye V2 Setup

For most users, this is the configuration we recommend testing first:

Setting Balanced Value
Aim Assist On
Aim Assist Size 3
Aim Assist Speed 14
Boost On Fire Off
Boost Size 0
Boost Speed 0
Strafe Assist Off
Look Sensitivity 4 or match your game
ADS Sensitivity 3 or match your game
Response Curve Classic or match your game
Deadzone Right 4 as starting point
Hip Sensitivity 100
VM Speed Automatic

What Should You Adjust First?

If the starting setup does not feel right, use this order:

  1. Verify controller settings.
  2. Verify weapon and attachment selection.
  3. Leave Boost and Strafe Assist off.
  4. Adjust Aim Assist Speed slightly.
  5. Retest.
  6. Then adjust Aim Assist Size if necessary.
  7. Only after the main aim system feels stable should you experiment with Boost or Strafe Assist.

If the Aim Movement Feels Too Strong

Start by reducing Aim Assist Speed slightly.

If the movement still feels too wide, reduce Size where possible.

Do not immediately change sensitivity, deadzone, Size, Speed and Boost together.

If the Aim Movement Feels Too Weak

Increase one setting gradually.

Start with a small Aim Assist Speed adjustment while keeping Size at 3.

If that still does not produce the behaviour you want, experiment with Size in small steps.

When Should You Enable Boost?

Only after the main Aim Assist configuration has been tested independently.

Boost adds another movement layer while firing, so enabling it immediately can make it harder to understand which part of Deadeye's configuration is responsible for what you feel.

When Should You Enable Strafe Assist?

The same advice applies to Strafe Assist.

First get the normal Aim Assist values working consistently.

Then test one Strafe activation mode and keep its Size/Speed values unchanged initially.

Change One Value at a Time

This is the most important part of tuning Deadeye V2.

Avoid changing:

  • Aim Assist Size
  • Aim Assist Speed
  • Boost
  • Strafe Assist
  • Deadzone
  • Sensitivity

all at once.

If the script improves or gets worse, you will not know which adjustment caused it.

Use the Same Test Conditions

When comparing Deadeye values, keep the following consistent:

  • Same weapon
  • Same optic
  • Same barrel attachment
  • Same controller settings
  • Same response curve
  • Same sensitivity

  • Boost Size: 0
  • Boost Speed: 0
  • Strafe Assist: Off initially
  • Strafe Aim Size: 65
  • Strafe Aim Speed: 7 PlayStation / 4 Xbox
  • Strafe Fire Size: 65
  • Strafe Fire Speed: 7 PlayStation / 4 Xbox

Final Thoughts

The best way to configure Deadeye V2 is to start with its existing tuning rather than immediately pushing every aim value higher.

Aim Assist Size 3 and Speed 14 provide the cleanest source-based baseline, while Boost and Strafe Assist can remain disabled until you understand how the main aim system feels.

Keep your controller, weapon and attachment selections accurate, then make small adjustments one at a time.
