Start with the recommended baseline, change one value at a time, and test each adjustment under consistent conditions.
If you're setting up CZA Private for Apex Legends, this is not a script with only one Aim Assist Size and Speed setting.
The current CZA Private GPC contains several different configurable systems, including its main Demon aim system, Tracking, Hstlr AA, Ceorin AA, Steady Aim, weapon profiles and game-setting matching.
It also includes multiple built-in presets.
For a general starting point, we recommend using the values from the script's own Demon preset before making custom changes.
These are recommended starting values, not guaranteed perfect settings for every controller or Apex Legends sensitivity.
Best CZA Private Values: Quick Setup
| Setting | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| Preset | Demon |
| Demon | Both |
| Demon When | Legit |
| Shape | Tartan |
| Speed | 0 |
| Radius | 0 |
| Spiral | Off |
| Boost on Fire | Off |
| Boost Speed | 0 |
| Boost Min Radius | 5 |
| Boost Max Radius | 20 |
| Tracking | On |
| Tracking Size | 10 |
| Tracking Speed | 40 |
Why Use the Demon Preset?
CZA Private contains named presets including INGFresh, Toast, Baron and Demon.
Rather than inventing a completely new configuration, the Demon preset gives us a set of values already present in the current GPC.
It is particularly useful as a general starting point because it combines:
- Demon aim configuration for both weapon slots
- Tracking
- Hstlr AA
- Ceorin AA
- Steady Aim
- 4 Look sensitivity
- 3 ADS sensitivity
- Weapon-specific anti-recoil support
Demon: Both
The recommended preset sets the main Demon system to Both.
In CZA Private, the available selections include:
- Off
- Primary
- Secondary
- Both
- Per Gun
Using Both means the configured system can apply across your Primary and Secondary weapon states rather than being restricted to only one slot.
Demon When: Legit
The current Demon preset uses the activation option labeled Legit.
Inside the GPC, this mode activates its programmed aim logic when the right stick is within the script's configured deadzone condition.
The name should not be interpreted as any guarantee about game rules or detection. It is simply the label used by the GPC for that activation condition.
Shape: Tartan
The source preset uses Tartan as its main programmed movement shape.
CZA Private contains numerous selectable patterns, including:
- Circle
- Tall Oval
- Wide Oval
- Helix
- Kitt
- V.Flare
- Tartan
- Jupiter
- Oscillate
- Rose
- Atomic
- Infinity
These names describe different controller-stick movement patterns produced by the GPC. They do not represent visual target detection.
Why Are Speed and Radius Both 0?
The Demon preset may look unusual because its main:
- Speed = 0
- Radius = 0
Those values are taken directly from the current preset.
CZA Private has additional Tracking and other programmed aim systems active alongside the main shape configuration, so you should not assume that setting Speed and Radius to 0 disables every aim-related function in the script.
We recommend testing the source values first instead of increasing these simply because zero appears low.
Best Tracking Values
The Demon preset uses:
| Tracking Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Tracking | On |
| Tracking Size | 10 |
| Tracking Speed | 40 |
This is one of the more important parts of the recommended configuration.
The GPC calculates programmed right-stick movement from these values and existing stick input. It does not see opponents or track objects on the game screen.
Best Boost Values
For the Demon starting configuration:
- Boost on Fire: Off
- Boost Speed: 0
- Minimum Radius: 5
- Maximum Radius: 20
We recommend keeping Boost on Fire disabled until you have tested the standard setup.
This prevents another movement layer from making the core configuration harder to evaluate.
Hstlr AA Recommended Values
CZA Private also contains a separate system called Hstlr AA.
The Demon preset configures it as follows:
| Hstlr Setting | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| Hstlr AA | Both |
| Shape Shifter | On |
| Threshold 1 | 33 |
| Threshold 2 | 66 |
| Low-range Shape | Tartan |
| Mid-range Shape | Kitt |
| High-range Shape | Jupiter |
What Does Shape Shifter Do?
Hstlr Shape Shifter changes the programmed movement pattern according to right-stick magnitude.
The Demon preset divides this into three regions:
- Below 33 — Tartan
- Between 33 and 66 — Kitt
- Above 66 — Jupiter
This means the script can use a different programmed pattern depending on how far the right stick is being moved.
Best Ceorin AA Values
The recommended Demon preset also enables the script's Ceorin AA system.
| Ceorin Setting | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| Ceorin AA | Both |
| Activation | Hipfire Only |
| Size | 2 |
| Speed | 20 |
| Boost | Off |
| Boost Size | 0 |
This gives CZA Private a separate programmed movement configuration for hip-fire conditions instead of relying entirely on the main Demon system.
Ceorin Size 2 and Speed 20
For this part of CZA Private, start with:
- Size: 2
- Speed: 20
Again, these come directly from the Demon preset.
If you decide to tune them, change Size or Speed separately rather than increasing both at once.
Best Steady Aim Values
The source preset uses:
- Steady Aim: On
- ADS Resolution: 5
- Look Resolution: 5
Steady Aim changes how the GPC processes right-stick movement through its resolution function.
For a source-based starting point, leave both resolution settings at 5.
Recommended Apex Legends Game Settings
The Demon preset is built around the following script-side game configuration:
| Game Setting | Source Preset Value |
|---|---|
| ALC | Off |
| Look | 4 |
| ADS | 3 |
| Deadzone | 3 |
| Response Curve | 8 |
| Layout | Evolved |
The most important rule is that the script configuration should reflect how you actually play.
If you do not use Evolved, do not change your Apex controls purely to copy the preset. Set CZA Private's layout to match your real in-game configuration.
4-3 Is the Source-Based Sensitivity Baseline
For non-ALC settings, the Demon preset uses:
- Look: 4
- ADS: 3
This makes 4-3 the most straightforward sensitivity baseline for this particular preset.
If you already play another sensitivity comfortably, however, it is generally better to configure the script around your actual settings rather than changing your entire controller setup for one preset.
Deadzone Value: 3
The Demon preset stores a script-side Deadzone value of 3.
Deadzone is relevant because CZA Private repeatedly checks right-stick magnitude when deciding how its programmed movement should behave.
A badly mismatched deadzone configuration can therefore make the same aim values feel different.
Response Curve Value: 8
The current Demon preset stores Response Curve 8.
Keep this value aligned with the configuration the script expects when testing the Demon preset.
If you substantially change your Apex response configuration, expect the same CZA values to feel different.
Recommended Aim-Only Starting Setup
If you want to test the aim systems without additional movement or shot automation, use the Demon values above but temporarily leave optional gameplay mods disabled.
This is a testing recommendation rather than a separate built-in preset.
Start with:
- Demon aim values from the preset
- Tracking On
- Hstlr AA values unchanged
- Ceorin AA values unchanged
- Steady Aim On
- Optional movement mods Off
- Optional shot mods Off while testing
Once the main controller behaviour feels consistent, you can re-enable the other features you actually want.
CZA Private Also Has Weapon Profiles
CZA Private includes extensive weapon-specific configuration rather than relying on one universal recoil value.
The current GPC contains weapon entries including:
- R-301
- Nemesis
- Rampage
- Havoc
- Devotion
- Flatline
- Spitfire
- L-Star
- Hemlok
- R-99
- CAR SMG
- Alternator
- Wingman
- Prowler
- RE-45
- Volt
- G7 Scout
- P2020
- Marksman
- Sniper
- Shotgun
- Sheila
Don't Use One Recoil Value for Every Weapon
CZA Private contains weapon-specific recoil tables and adjusts its programmed stick correction according to factors such as:
- Selected weapon
- Primary or Secondary slot
- Sight
- Barrel configuration
- In-game sensitivity settings
For that reason, there is no single source-supported “best anti-recoil value” that should replace the script's weapon database.
Select the correct weapon and attachment configuration first.
Primary and Secondary Settings
CZA Private keeps separate weapon states for your Primary and Secondary slots.
Make sure the correct gun is selected before deciding that an aim or recoil value needs changing.
A mismatched weapon profile can make a good configuration look bad.
What About the Baron Preset?
The built-in Baron preset is noticeably different from Demon.
Its main aim configuration includes:
- Demon: Primary
- Shape: Tartan
- Speed: 20
- Radius: 10
- Tracking: On
- Tracking Size: 10
- Tracking Speed: 20
It also uses ALC-style values rather than the Demon preset's 4-3 non-ALC setup.
That makes Baron a useful built-in alternative for users who specifically want to experiment with another source preset rather than manually creating values.
What About INGFresh?
The current INGFresh preset uses 4 Look / 3 ADS and keeps Tracking at Size 10 / Speed 40, while also enabling Steady Aim with ADS and Look Resolution at 8.
This gives you another built-in configuration worth testing if the Demon preset does not match your controller setup.
Don't Combine Values From Every Preset Immediately
Avoid taking:
- Demon Tracking
- Baron Radius
- Toast ALC settings
- INGFresh Steady Aim
and combining everything before testing the original presets.
The presets are complete configurations. Test them as complete configurations first so you have a reliable reference point.
Best Way to Tune CZA Private
- Load the Demon preset.
- Match the script's controller layout to your Apex layout.
- Confirm the correct Look and ADS settings.
- Select the correct weapon.
- Match the sight and barrel where supported.
- Test the source preset without changing values.
- If needed, adjust one aim system at a time.
- Save the configuration before making larger changes.
What Should You Adjust First?
If the Demon preset does not feel right, start with the most isolated setting possible.
For example:
- Keep Tracking Size at 10.
- Adjust Tracking Speed slightly.
- Retest.
- Return to the baseline if it gets worse.
- Then test Tracking Size separately.
Do not simultaneously change Tracking, Ceorin AA, Hstlr thresholds, deadzone and sensitivity.
If You Use Different Apex Settings
Copied CZA values will not necessarily behave identically if you use a different:
- Look sensitivity
- ADS sensitivity
- ALC configuration
- Deadzone
- Response curve
- Button layout
- Weapon
- Optic or barrel
This is why the script contains a dedicated Game Settings section.
Final Recommended CZA Private Values
For the easiest source-based starting point, use the Demon preset values:
- Demon: Both
- When: Legit
- Shape: Tartan
- Speed: 0
- Radius: 0
- Boost on Fire: Off
- Boost Min Radius: 5
- Boost Max Radius: 20
- Tracking: On
- Tracking Size: 10
- Tracking Speed: 40
- Hstlr AA: Both
- Hstlr Threshold 1: 33
- Hstlr Threshold 2: 66
- Ceorin AA: Both
- Ceorin Size: 2

Final Thoughts
CZA Private is more complicated than a script with only one aim-strength slider, so the best way to configure it is to start from one of its existing complete presets.
For a general 4-3 configuration, the Demon preset provides the strongest source-based baseline: Tracking 10/40, Hstlr thresholds 33/66, Ceorin Size 2 / Speed 20 and Steady Aim Resolution 5/5.
Test those values before increasing anything, keep your weapon and game settings matched correctly, and change one system at a time.
