Start with the recommended baseline, change one value at a time, and test each adjustment under consistent conditions.
If you are setting up ARK for NBA 2K27, the best place to begin is with the timing values already built into the current GPC.
We checked the actual ARK script and found its main shooting baseline: 500 ms Auto-Green, 45 ms Auto-Tempo and a 350 ms release-vibration value.
These are useful starting values, but they should still be calibrated around your own jump shot and shooting setup.
Best ARK Starting Values
| ARK Setting | Recommended Starting Setup |
|---|---|
| Shot Style | Pull-Up to start |
| Auto-Green Boost | ON when testing Auto-Green |
| Auto-Green MS | 500 ms |
| Auto-Tempo | OFF initially |
| SQ / X Mapping | L3 / LS when using Auto-Tempo |
| RS Auto Tempo | OFF initially |
| Auto-Tempo MS | 45 ms |
| Unlimited Stamina | OFF initially |
| Ultra Quickstop | OFF initially |
| AI Dribbling | OFF initially |
| AI Defense | OFF initially |
| Meter Dunk | OFF initially |
| Release Vibrator | Optional while tuning |
| Vibrator MS | 350 ms |
| Turbo Shots | OFF while first calibrating |
| Instant Responder | OFF initially |
| Spot Take | OFF initially |
| Fade+ | OFF initially |
Important: 500 ms, 45 ms and 350 ms come directly from the script's built-in configuration. The recommended ON/OFF setup above is designed to make initial calibration easier by reducing the number of active variables.
Best ARK Auto-Green Value: 500 ms
The current ARK GPC uses 500 ms as its built-in Auto-Green MS value.
This should be your first testing point if you want to use ARK's Auto-Green Boost system.
Start with:
- Auto-Green Boost: ON
- Auto-Green MS: 500 ms
- Auto-Tempo: OFF
- Ultra Quickstop: OFF
- Turbo Shots: OFF
This isolates the main Auto-Green routine so you can judge its timing without another shooting system changing the input sequence.
How to Fine-Tune 500 ms
Do not make large changes after one shot.
Instead:
- Use the same jump shot.
- Start at 500 ms.
- Take several repeatable attempts.
- Look for a consistent timing pattern.
- Adjust the value slightly.
- Test several more shots.
- Save the better value.
Because ARK allows Auto-Green MS to be adjusted directly through its OLED menu, you can make small changes without editing the source file.
Our NBA 2K27 shot timing guide explains the general calibration process in more detail.
Best ARK Auto-Tempo Value: 45 ms
ARK's built-in Auto-Tempo MS value is 45 ms.
This controls a different part of the shooting sequence from the 500 ms Auto-Green value.
Do not treat these as interchangeable:
- Auto-Green MS: 500 ms
- Auto-Tempo MS: 45 ms
Auto-Green controls the longer shot-input timing, while Auto-Tempo controls the delay involved in ARK's Tempo-style stick sequence.
Should Auto-Tempo Be On?
For your first setup, we recommend keeping Auto-Tempo OFF while tuning Auto-Green.
Once 500 ms has been tested and adjusted, enable Auto-Tempo and begin testing the 45 ms value separately.
This avoids trying to diagnose Auto-Green and Tempo timing at the same time.
Read our NBA 2K27 Auto Green vs Tempo Shooting guide if you are unsure which shooting system you want to prioritize.
Best Button Mapping for Auto-Tempo
When Auto-Tempo is active, ARK allows the normal shooting input to be remapped to a stick-click input.
The script's initial mapping selection is L3 / LS.
This is a sensible starting option when experimenting with Auto-Tempo because it keeps the alternate stick-click available for other shooting controls.
RS Auto Tempo: Start OFF
ARK also includes RS Auto Tempo.
We recommend keeping this off during the first calibration pass.
First get the normal Auto-Tempo system working at around 45 ms, then test right-stick Auto Tempo separately if you plan to use it.
Release Vibrator: 350 ms
ARK contains an adjustable Release Vibrator timing with a built-in value of 350 ms.
The vibration feature is best treated as a feedback or calibration tool rather than your main shooting timing.
A useful setup while testing is:
- Release Vibrator: ON temporarily
- Vibrator MS: 350 ms
Once your shooting configuration feels consistent, you can turn vibration back off if you do not want the extra feedback.
Shot Style: Start With Pull-Up
ARK includes several selectable Shot Style options:
- Pull-Up
- Catch
- Stepback
- Fadeaway
The current script starts on Pull-Up.
Rather than constantly switching between shot styles during calibration, choose the shot style you actually use and tune your main timing around that setup.
Ultra Quickstop: Start OFF
ARK includes an Ultra Quickstop system with multiple activation modes.
For initial shooting calibration, keep Quickstop off.
After your normal shooting timing is stable, enable the Quickstop mode you want and test the full movement-to-shot sequence.
This matters because Quickstop changes what happens immediately before the shot begins.
See our guide on How Quick-Stop Timing Works in NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen Scripts for a deeper explanation of why Quickstop and shot timing should be tested separately.
AI Dribbling: Start OFF
ARK includes both automatic and configurable dribbling functionality.
Its dribble system supports selectable directional actions, but we recommend leaving it off until the shooting system is configured.
Once shooting is working, configure your preferred dribble sequences and then test how they transition into Quickstop or Auto-Green.
AI Defense: Start OFF While Tuning
ARK includes AI Defense as part of its broader all-round setup.
There is no need to have the defense routine active while testing shot timing.
Keep it off during shooting calibration, then enable it separately if you want the defensive controller routine.
Meter Dunk: Start OFF
ARK also includes Meter Dunk.
Again, it is better to keep unrelated functions disabled while finding your shooting values.
After Auto-Green and Auto-Tempo are working, enable Meter Dunk and test it as a separate controller function.
Turbo Shots: Tune After Normal Shooting
ARK includes a Turbo Shots system with modes including:
- Off
- Hop Jumper
- Turbo Fade
The source script initializes the Turbo Shot system around Turbo Fade, but for a clean first calibration we recommend temporarily switching it OFF.
Get your standard shooting timing working first, then enable Hop Jumper or Turbo Fade and test those shooting situations independently.
Fade+ Should Be Tested Separately
ARK also provides a Fade+ system with several modes.
Because Fade+ changes moving-shot behaviour, leave it off while establishing your main Auto-Green and Auto-Tempo setup.
Once standard shooting works, introduce Fade+ and test it separately.
Recommended ARK Calibration Setup
For your first serious test, use:
| Setting | Calibration Setup |
|---|---|
| Shot Style | Pull-Up |
| Auto-Green Boost | ON |
| Auto-Green MS | 500 ms |
| Auto-Tempo | OFF |
| RS Auto Tempo | OFF |
| Ultra Quickstop | OFF |
| AI Dribbling | OFF |
| AI Defense | OFF |
| Meter Dunk | OFF |
| Release Vibrator | Optional |
| Vibrator MS | 350 ms |
| Turbo Shots | OFF |
| Spot Take | OFF |
| Fade+ | OFF |
Then Test Auto-Tempo
Once your Auto-Green setup is stable, move to a separate Tempo configuration:
- Auto-Tempo: ON
- Auto-Tempo MS: 45 ms
- SQ / X Mapping: L3 / LS to start
- RS Auto Tempo: OFF initially
Test this independently rather than comparing every shooting mode on the same possession.
Then Add Quickstop and Movement Tools
After the shooting values are set, introduce the movement functions one at a time:
- Ultra Quickstop
- AI Dribbling
- Turbo Shots
- Fade+
- Spot Take
- Meter Dunk
This makes it much easier to identify which feature is responsible if the controller behaviour changes.
ARK's Main Adjustable Values
Based on the current GPC, the most important numeric values for shooting calibration are:
- Auto-Green MS: 500 ms starting value
- Auto-Tempo MS: 45 ms starting value
- Vibrator MS: 350 ms starting value
These are the values to focus on before worrying about ARK's larger set of movement and utility features.
Don't Change Every ARK Setting at Once
ARK is an advanced script with a large configuration menu.
That makes it tempting to enable everything immediately, but doing so makes troubleshooting much harder.
A better order is:
- Configure Auto-Green.
- Fine-tune 500 ms.
- Test Auto-Tempo at 45 ms.
- Test Quickstop.
- Configure dribbles.
- Configure Turbo Shots and Fade+.
- Add defense and dunk features.
- Save the finished setup.
Are 500 ms and 45 ms Guaranteed to Be Perfect?
No.
These values come directly from ARK's current script and are therefore the best logical baseline for a new configuration, but different shooting setups can still require additional tuning.
Use them as starting values rather than guaranteed universal values.
Final Recommended ARK Values
| Main ARK Setting | Recommended Starting Value |
|---|---|
| Auto-Green MS | 500 ms |
| Auto-Tempo MS | 45 ms |
| Vibrator MS | 350 ms |
| Auto-Green Boost | ON when calibrating Auto-Green |
| Auto-Tempo | OFF first, then test separately |
| RS Auto Tempo | OFF initially |
| Ultra Quickstop | OFF initially |
| Turbo Shots | OFF initially |
| AI Dribbling | OFF initially |
| AI Defense | OFF initially |
Start at 500 ms for Auto-Green, establish a repeatable shot, then test 45 ms Auto-Tempo separately. Only after those two systems are working should you start adding Quickstop, dribbles, Turbo Shots, Fade+ and ARK's other advanced features.
